Greetings from back in Austin Texas. I have declared a trip break and am at home with Tommie for about a week. Arrived Austin late Thursday (only two day's driving from Flagstaff, and that with 3:00 p.m. start). Austin beautiful and green after rains...the 131 miles from Brady in through the hill country was as verdant and beautiful as anywhere I've been thus far. Prickly pear and century plants in bloom. Gorgeous.
Will depart again for CA first week of May to see the Grateful Dead in Shoreline Ampitheatre near San Francisco (Mountain View). After the Allman Brothers' Beacon Theater run (15 shows) I am really stoked to see/hear the current Dead lineup.
